Chabot Campaign Out in Force Recognizes Volunteers for Service “Beyond the Call of Duty”

without comments

Inland Empire, CA – March 1, 2010 – 63rd assembly candidate, LT Commander (s) Paul Chabot, recognizes and thanks his volunteers for service “beyond the call of duty.”

Over 100 volunteers signed up for this past weekend’s Super Saturday campaign event and pre Tea Party “party”. Despite heavy rain, these great Americans walked precincts meeting voters and converged upon an intersection in Rancho Cucamonga to join the celebration of the one-year anniversary of the Tea Party.

“The hail, thunder, lighting and torrential downpour was pretty incredible. But I was more impressed by the dedication of our volunteers. They each deserve a medal for going beyond the call of duty,”  said Chabot.

Rancho Cucamonga Chief of Police Ron Bieberdorf (ret) and a regional Director for ACT, an organization fighting radical Islam, both helped to kick off the campaign precinct walk.

Francine McDermott, a school teacher said, “This is the first campaign I have ever volunteered for. It’s amazing. You can feel the energy. To be around so many like-minded people in one setting as large as this is a breath of fresh air.”
Kevin Mulligan, a small business owner who walked precincts stated, “LT Commander Chabot is the kind of leader we must elect. No longer can we accept typical politicians squeezing out our American heroes. We saw that happen when Obama was elected and we will not let that happen here at our local level. California must send a proven leader to Sacramento and only LT Commander Chabot has a record of truly fighting for you.”

Chabot Endorsed by Inland Empire Taxpayers Association – Signs “No Tax Pledge”

without comments

Inland Empire, CA – February 22nd, 2010 – 63rd assembly candidate, LT Commander (s) Paul Chabot, announces the early endorsement of Inland Empire Taxpayers Association and signs “No Tax Pledge.” Chris Mann, the Founder and President of the Inland Empire Taxpayers Association stated, “Paul is a proven tax fighter and is the only candidate with the courage to stand up to the liberals who want to raise our taxes and weaken Proposition 13. Paul’s innovative economic plan will help create jobs, reform California’s broken budget system, and protect working families from higher taxes.” The Inland Empire Taxpayers Association (IETA) is an organization founded with the primary goal of putting an end to attempts by various local government agencies to raise our taxes…including passing new bonds and raising fees. Since its creation in April, 2006, the IETA has been successful at defeating ballot measures totaling over $813 million. In all, through its efforts fighting taxes at the ballot box, the IETA has directly prevented the creation of over $1.6 billion of new public debt (initial bond amounts plus interest). “I am honored to receive the early endorsement of the Inland Empire Taxpayers Association. California’s ridiculous tax structure is responsible for killing businesses throughout our state and hurting working families. I will vote down any attempt to raise taxes and will fight to ensure my colleagues in the Assembly do the same. We must reduce taxes immediately if California is to have a viable future. Only conservative economic policies will create jobs and protect working families,” said Chabot. LT Commander (s) Chabot has signed the Americans for Tax Reform, “No Tax Pledge,” a signed and witnessed document to all Californian’s that Chabot will never vote to raise your taxes. LT Commander (s) Chabot is a leading candidate for the 63rd assembly district seat currently occupied by Assemblyman Bill Emmerson who will step down due to term limits. He lives in Rancho Cucamonga with his wife Brenda and their three children.

Revolving door problem

In case you missed it… Published today in local Sun and Daily Bulletin newspapers.

Revolving door problem
On Jan. 26, Gov. Schwarzenegger suggested reducing state prison costs by sending the 20,000 U.S. incarcerated illegal aliens to Mexico.
While this would certainly reduce state costs, in the long run, it would only harm our state and threaten public safety. I have served as a three-time governor appointee to the state parole board and saw firsthand the dangerous criminals locked up behind our prison walls.
Roughly 15 percent to 20 percent of the felony population in our state prisons are illegal aliens, many of whom are associates of violent street and prison gangs. Until our borders are secured, these violent criminals will continue to walk across our border and place our communities in grave danger. We could have been saving money all along had we prevented this problem from being imported into our county in the first place.
Until we get serious about border security and respecting the rule of law, the revolving door at our border with Mexico will remain one of our most significant threats, not only to public safety, but also to our serious economic crisis.
PAUL CHABOT
