Today, NATIONAL DEFENSE PAC announced their endorsement of Dr. Paul Chabot for election to the California 63rd Assembly District, NATIONAL DEFENSE PAC Chairman, Rear Admiral [Ret.] James J. Carey stated, “Paul Chabot has NATIONAL DEFENSE PAC’s full support for election to the 63rd. He served our country in the U.S. Navy, knows military hardships and dangers first hand, and is committed to keeping the promises made to our veterans when they agreed to risk their lives to face America’s enemies. Paul is who we want in the California Assembly continuing his selfless service for the people of the district. It is leaders like Paul that can bring trust and statesmanship back to our government.”

Paul Chabot is an Iraq War veteran and began his military career in 2001, serving first at the Office of Naval Intelligence, later with the Defense Intelligence Agency, in conjunction with an assignment in the Pentagon working for the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the National Military Command Center assessing immediate national security threats. He recently returned from serving in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom with Special Operations Forces. Today, Paul serves with the U.S. 3rd Fleet conducting homeland security exercises. He currently holds the rank of Lt. Commander (select), with the United States Navy Reserve.

Admiral Carey stated, “The California 63rd Assembly District has military veterans and a significant number of men and women, both active duty, guard & reserve, serving in the military today. Paul is an inspiration to all those that wish to continue to serve our country beyond their military career and he is the right person for the job. NATIONAL DEFENSE PAC intends to do all it can to help make that happen”.

Colonel (Ret.) Craig Carlson, NDPAC Executive Director, stated, “NATIONAL DEFENSE PAC has earned a reputation for endorsing winning candidates because we back men and women that have proven integrity forged in patriotic selfless military service. The American people trust our military and vote for our candidates. Our goal in 2010 is to endorse as many candidates that can meet our standard, and elect them all.”
